Ivy & Pearl Co. began with a mother, a daughter, and the hope of one day sharing a jewelry box.

Founded in Michigan in 2024, IVP is a jewelry house built around thoughtful materials, timeless design, and pieces meant to become part of your life. Our collections bring together gold-filled jewelry, fine gold, pearls, and responsibly sourced natural and lab-grown diamonds.

From the piece you reach for every morning to the diamond chosen for a milestone, we consider each addition to the collection with the moments it may one day represent in mind.

We believe jewelry becomes more meaningful with time. It is worn, gifted, remembered, and sometimes passed from one generation to the next.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Shay is an Iraqi American founder and curator, born in Baghdad and raised in the United States. Her relationship with jewelry began with the women in her family and a heritage where gold has long represented beauty, celebration, and connection.

Her earliest jewelry memory is a delicate gold necklace given to her by her mother. The piece itself was simple, but what it represented stayed with her. It was an early understanding that the true value of jewelry often lies in the memories we attach to it.

Shay began curating jewelry in the early 2000s, developing an eye for pieces that felt timeless, feminine, and effortless. Alongside that passion, she built a career in education as a teacher, principal, and university educator before eventually leaving academia to pursue a dream of her own.

That dream found its purpose through her youngest daughter. Severe eczema and reactions to certain metals and chemicals made it difficult for her to comfortably wear jewelry. Determined to understand why, Shay began researching metals, materials, and what goes into the pieces we wear against our skin.

That journey became the foundation for Ivy & Pearl Co.

Today, Shay brings together her love of jewelry, her careful approach to materials, and more than two decades of curating pieces into every IVP collection.

What began with a gold necklace from her mother found new meaning through her daughter. It is a story spanning generations, and one that continues with every woman who makes an Ivy & Pearl piece part of her own.
